1957 Chevy Truck “QuikSilver”

I don’t normally post about trucks, but this one is really something special.

This customized 1957 Chevrolet truck belongs to Alan Beers of Owasso, Oklahoma. When I say customized, I don’t mean that the owner bolted on a couple of go-fast parts and a rollpan. I mean that every body panel on this truck has been altered in some way!

The list of custom body work is as extensive as it is impressive. The top of the cab has been chopped 3 inches and the windshield laid back 3 inches from its original position. The redesigned front end really showcases the creativity and fabrication skills of the guys at Hot Rod Garage. It’s also got a handbuilt bed, tailgate, and belly pans. The effort that went into making this truck is simply amazing.

Under the hood is a 540cid big block Chevy motor that puts out a whopping 650 horsepower. That must be where the “Quik” in “Quiksilver” comes from! Perched atop the engine is a Crower injector stack that has been converted to a FAST EFI system. The two-tone red and silver paint make for an eye-popping combination on what is possibly the most spotless engine I have ever seen.

The same attention to detail carries over to the interior, which definitely has a “less is more” approach. The cabin has everything you need and nothing you don’t.

I’m not the only one to be wowed by this truck. It’s been scooping up awards everywhere it goes. Some of the recent victories include:
