We had a blast covering the 2013 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction this year! Here is a video I made highlighting some of the things I saw at the auction, including lots of very cool cars. Hope you enjoy it!

Smoked Turkey Legs (1997 Chevy 1 Ton Dually Tahoe Long Bed Bullshit Thing)
I have been ready to blow like Mount St. Helens since the weekend of January 19th, 2013.
Why, you ask? Because although Barrett-Jackson was a blast and I saw a lot of really cool cars and got to hang out with the guys and make fun of everything and generally just be an asshole, there is a flip side- I’ve seen about all the 60’s muscle cars I can handle for the rest of my life, I hurt my foot, and worst of all, I got duped into buying a twelve dollar turkey leg.
Corvette Grand Sport ZR-1
I have to admit that at first I believed this to be a 1996 Corvette Grand Sport with a Lotus-designed 32-valve LT5 swapped in place of the (comparably) timid LT4. Looking back over the pictures, it’s obvious that this is a ZR-1 painted to look like a Grand Sport.
The Worst of Barrett-Jackson 2013
If you haven’t read Trevor’s article entitled, “10 Things I Loved About Barrett-Jackson 2013” then you should check it out. It gives great perspective of the event seen from the eyes of a journalist. I figured that because of it, I’d like to cover the things I disliked about Barrett-Jackson 2013. Considering that nothing about the event itself was particularly unique from any other large event in it’s faults – and that we’re an automotive media website – I’d talk about the worst cars I saw there. They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I’m pretty sure these cars would only appeal to the aesthetic mindset of a pre-teen.
10 Things I Loved About Barrett-Jackson 2013
Today was the final day of Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2013. By the numbers, it was one of the most successful auctions ever. Over 3,400 bidders participated in the 7-day event, buying $100 million worth of vehicles – $58 million of which happened on Saturday alone.
As the cars are delivered to their new owners and the booths and tents are packed up, I would like to reflect on 10 things I loved about Barrett-Jackson 2013.
