1st Gen Chevrolet S10 5th Wheel Trailer Setup

The less than pleasant GM rep at the 2012 SEMA show informed us that the LT1 name was back, again, for heritage reasons only.  That’s an acceptable answer, I guess, I don’t quite understand why but I’ll let it slide.  There are definitely better names to bring back, like, I don’t know.. the fucking Iron Duke.  If there were an american version of the hammer and sickle that’s what you would envision upon hearing its name, regardless of actual performance specs or reliability.

Also, I found this S10 5th wheel setup, which hopefully has a tired 350 under the hood.

1970s Champion TransVan

Nothing says “mid-1970s” like a compact motorhome built on a full size van chassis. I spotted this retro camper and unfortunately did not have my real camera with me. So I have just one photo of this groovy cruiser.

TransVan was a line of Class B motorhomes produced by Champion in the 1970s and 1980s. You could get a Dodge-based model with a 360 V8 or a Chevy-based model with a 350 V8. They came in 17, 19, 21, and 23 foot lengths with two different interior configurations each. This particular one rides on a Chevrolet G30 chassis with dually wheels in the rear.

SEMA 2013: Lingenfelter C7 Corvette Prototype

There was a lot of buzz at this year’s SEMA show about the new 2014 C7 Corvette. We met up with Jason Haines from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering to hear about some of the different packages they are working on for this car.

The team at LPE have not yet released the official numbers for their C7 Corvette performance kits. The car at their booth is a prototype, but it’s probably pretty close to what the final package will look like.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu Review

Last year I wrote a detailed review of the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. This summer, I had a chance to get behind the wheel of a 2013 Malibu while on vacation. So what’s new with this year’s model? Actually, there’s quite a lot!

For 2013, the Malibu gets a big exterior redesign with a new front and rear end. The back has a chunky, muscular look with a recessed trunk lid while the front has a larger, more prominent grille and a bigger bow tie. But the changes are more than cosmetic, there have been some engine and interior enhancements as well.

1986 Ferrari Testarossa Spider

First off I must apologize for not dragging my camera along with me, I was only able to click off a couple cell phone shots.

If you know anything about these convertible Ferrari’s than you know that there was officially only one Spider.  With that kind of exclusivity I’m sure the official car is stored away in a European museum somewhere for no one to see or drive.  Which leads me to believe that this car must have been a conversion, likely from an independent coachbuiler, possibly Pininfarina (known best for setting the automotive world on fire with the game changing Cadillac Allante).
