“Oh dear God!” The words fell out of my mouth and on to the pavement as I walked past this atrocity in the parking lot of a local restaurant. Here we have a Yamaha R1 sport bike which combines two of my least favorite things: motorcycles and the new “Dark Knight” movies.
The bike’s body panels are custom painted with the Joker from the “Dark Knight” movie series. From the embroidered seat to the color-matched wheels, they really went all out on this thing. This bike is the very definition of “tasteless.”
Take everything that makes yesterday’s Lightning so great, and modify it to the opposite end of the spectrum.
Easily removable stripes? Meet painted on ugly hot rod flames.
Tasteful wheels? How about body paint-matched Ebay specials with a huge goofy lip.
Stock badges and Red tail lamps? Meet the Lightning “R” and stock euro lenses.
I haven’t even mentioned the ugly body effects kit and dumb ass lip spoiler off the tailgate. This Lightning is even worse than the pictures I took of it.
I’m not sure what the story is here, maybe they were the best cosmetics salesperson at the Dollar General? Either way this pink Jeep isn’t afraid to show the world who it is, over spray and all. Continue reading
And from the bowels of what appears to be Washington came a terror only identifiable by it’s wrap around windshield and hood design. Every panel dented. Useless handles bolted in abundance to the bed… And those goddamn stacks.
