Rare Factory Supercharged AWD Mid-Engined 1990’s Toyota Pickup

Actually, if you haven’t figured it out, it’s a near topless Toyota Previa.  My brother snapped this picture last weekend at the Glendale 9 swapmeet.  The odd thing is that the rear is not sagging at all, which leads me to believe that this was a purpose built machine (hauling one mans junk) with at least some thought put into it, however strange it may look.

1986 Chevy El Camino Dragging Out Of SEMA 2012 (VIDEO)

The Las Vegas Police Department clearly had a much more strict set of rules for this years cruise out of SEMA.  I saw a couple tickets handed out with zero hesitation, most likely with the idea of making examples out of people, which I can understand.

Aside from a minuscule chirp from a little Fiat no one was willing to give their wheels a spin, no matter how much the crowd begged for it.  Well, these guys said ‘fuck it’, dropped their truck car vehicle to the ground and gave a them go.  It’s no smoke show or anything but the pickings were slim, so enjoy it.

The El Corado

I’ve got nothing.

I really wish I had some answers, but every time I look at this thing, it raises more questions. If you were going to make a car have a truck bed, why would you use a car that already has a bed? And what is that thing behind the rear window? Why were the taillights painted over like that and then sort of wiped away? Why the primer stripe down the tailgate? Why the green roof? And most importantly, just …why?
